WCDMA Project Test Engineer
CETECOM Inc. is a leader in the wireless communications testing industry. Our clients are some of the most well-known and influential companies in this field, both inside and outside Silicon Valley. The projects we work on are highly confidential, leading-edge devices. This position will report to the San Diego Location Manager.
Responsibilities
- Handle testing for WCDMA projects
- Discuss technical details with manufacturers from the early stages
- Product assessment and complete verification of samples, including generation of test reports
- Validation, maintenace and supervision of complex test systems
- Involvement in international standards for testing wireless devices, approval processes and certification bodies
- Other duties related to setting up, trouble shooting of samples and test equipment
*PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for a test engineer, not a software developer
Requirements
- Must possess at least 1 year of experience in testing GSM/GPRS/UMTS wireless devices
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Project management skills: must be able to work on several projects simultaneously
- The capability of working with minimal supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Possess a strong work ethic and ddesire to get the job done
