Bluetooth® Specification Version 1.1 Deprecation

The Bluetooth® SIG announces future deprecation of Bluetooth® Specification Version 1.1. The deprecation period will start Feb 09, 2007 and will end Aug 09, 2007. During the deprecation period, qualification of Bluetooth® products will still be possible at the expense of a significantly higher listing fee. After the end of the deprecation period new qualifications according to Bluetooth Specification Version 1.1 will no longer be permitted. The Bluetooth SIG recommends performing product development and qualification according to Bluetooth Specification Version 2.0+EDR..
